Picture Farm is proud to announce “Albatross Soup” the highly experimental, process driven brainchild of Winnie Cheung, has won the annual  Vimeo Staff Pick “Best Of The Year” award in the Animation category! It is a truly singular honor, and we couldn’t be more chuffed.

“A dizzying descent into deductive reasoning,” the film was co-produced by Picture Farm and Cause+Effect, directed by Winnie and features the cognitive and technical prowess of nearly the whole PF team.

Along with Ms. Cheung, Picture Farm’s Leslie Yoon were floating around the awards ceremony that doubled as a kind of day long workshop.

Toddy Stewart was also on hand to talk about James Medcraft’s “Octave,” which narrowly missed out on the Vimeo award in the Experimental category. James, a constant creative partner and collaborator with Picture Farm, created a magnificent one-man-show of process-driven filmmaking. James is, of course, hot onto another project so Toddy was on hand to talk about James’ considerable creative skills and to try, as best he could (since we really had nothing to do with James’ auteur masterpiece) to answer questions about the project.
